Daniel Davey was born on July 25th,
1973, in Hertford,
England. He changed his
name to Dani Filth, Dani in Hebrew meaning “bereft of God”. He is the lead singer/front man for black/goth metal
band CRADLE OF FILTH!!!
Dani formed
Cradle in 1991 with original guitarist Paul Ryan and bassist, John Pritchard in Suffolk, a place infamous for its 16th-century witch trials. Cradle of Filth are a vampiric band, their look
greatly influenced by Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’. They’re music is intense, violent, sexual and incredibly
dark. Pretty scary but they take me on a ride every time! And do I enjoy it or what?!

lives in Suffolk with his girlfriend
(of 13 years!!!), Toni and their daughter, Luna Scarlett, who should be about four-years-old now. He enjoys listening to anything
from The Misfits to classic British metal like Judas Priest to thrash metal like Slayer. He says he’s pretty diverse.
He enjoys watching
horror/dark fantasy movies. He starred in one called ‘Cradle of Fear’, which was released in 2002. It is “a
modern day horror anthology. A gruesome mix of four stories all linked by the tale of Kemper, a child killer and eater (lol…
!!!) who, despite being incarcerated, uses his ally in the outside world to reap revenge on those who imprisoned him. That
ally is The Man (Dani Filth), a deranged, dark, spectral character who leaves a foul trail of death in his wake.” Sounds

Dani also likes
sport, hanging out with friends, collecting Egyptian artefacts, seafood, India, tea and amusing his daughter. He hates normality, obnoxious people and urban sprawls. Ooh! I think I forgot to
mention that he’s friends with Corey Taylor of Slipknot…
